The manifold above is known as the "Center Riser" manifold. It replaced
the MerCruiser "LOG" manifold for the 1983 model year. The log style
manifold has the riser at the back of the manifold.
The Moore Performance manifolds are an exact replacement for the 1983 -
2000 MerCruiser Big Block Chevy manifolds. The external dimensions are
identical with all holes drilled and tapped like the original manifolds.
These manifolds are available in either cast iron or aluminum. Both the
aluminum and the cast iron manifolds have identical dimensions. The
aluminum manifolds are considerably lighter (20 pounds versus 40
pounds).

Every manifold comes with a new gasket. This is the best gasket on
the market. It is a sandwich style gasket consisting of a metal core
with graphite gasket material on both sides. The metal core keeps
the gasket from blowing out under pressure. Never use a cheap
paper gasket that is simply stamped out of exhaust gasket material!
