The manifold above is known as the "Center Riser" manifold. It replaced the MerCruiser "LOG" manifold for
the 1983 model year. The "log style" manifold has the riser at the back of the manifold.
The Moore Performance manifolds are an exact replacement for the 1983 - 2002 Mercruiser Small Block
Chevy manifolds. The external dimensions are identical with all holes drilled and tapped like the original
manifolds.

the manifolds are quite different
than the stock MerCruiser
manifolds. Dividers have been
placed inside the manifold
plenum. These dividers separate
the exhaust pulses from each
cylinder and guide the exhaust
gases towards the outlet. The
effect of the dividers results in an
increase in performance and fuel
economy. The original MerCruiser
manifolds have no dividers only
an open plenum.

installed inside the manifolds water jacket to prevent
corrosion. The cast iron manifolds have provisions for
installing the anodes as well

Every manifold comes with a new gasket. This is the best gasket on the market. It is a sandwich style
gasket consisting of a metal core with graphite gasket material on both sides. The metal core keeps
the gasket from blowing out under pressure. Never use a cheap paper gasket that is simply stamped
out of exhaust gasket material!
